Re: VS Commodore 202 Drag Car :)
could just of smashed the TCC clutch dunno guess youll just have to pull down further and see what you find could be cam or crank endfloat even.you put your 202 through worse so i wouldnt be expecting much gone wrong if the bigends and mains are ok.

hmm that's a thought, not even sure if the converter is a lockup one or not!

Re: VS Commodore 202 Drag Car :)
did you hear that backfire just after launch and just after changing to 2nd gear the same noise.sounded a bit like a miss timed spark event or something i wonder if that contributed to the knocking sounds coming out of it now

Single LS1 coil on this one.
It sounds like a manual in the other lane making the backfire noise on gear changes

Re: VS Commodore 202 Drag Car :)
if your talking about scottys run, your right he did hit the rev limiter just as he shifted to second, one bap and then it shifted
and yeah wouldn't surprise me of the other cars doing it, half the wankers there reckon its cool to run it on the limiter in 2nd gear for 3/4 track with the tyres spinning rather than having traction and actually get a good time
well totally stripped the motor now and cannot find a thing wrong, all the bores are mint, and the pistons and rings also, no play in the wrist pins or anything like that either, cam gears all look mint and all the teeth are still on them, so unless its something like a converter or something like that we are a bit lost as to the issue!
