It's because there's a turbo in the way on the other side.
If you look at the first photo I put up you can see.

I actually thought it would clear the alternator!! All good, nothing much else on that side of a 202 anyways!

The turbo itself clears the in take pipe and out pipe won't which is why I just moved it too the other side so I have more room for the pipes.

Either one should work with the d1928 module.Just need to lob off the correct teeth so you can get this 6+1 trigger ..

Using a 36 tooth wheel as the starting point will get the exact 10deg extra tooth, a 60 tooth wheel will be 12deg but will still work. Not sure if the d1928 modules prefer smaller teeth seeing they used small slots factory.

So your suggesting that I still go with a 6+1 and not 36-1

it seems to me that you may be a bit confused about number of teeth required? to be clear, Holden202 has a 36-1 wheel because he is using a custom built ignition module that can be programmed. if you use a GM d1928 module you have got no option - you must use a 6+1 wheel.

No not confused just haven't bought a module yet and was wondering which was the better wheel too use then I know which module I need.

Ok too put it this way if I buy the 36 tooth wheel I've been looking at instead of cutting off the unused teeth and make it a 6+1 too suit the d1928a I could just cut the one off and use the same programable module that VL400 makes. Just would rather use something that's closer too home.
