yep, it will be lean everywhere coz that .06 injector rate is for 80lb injectors!! if you are using 36 or 42lb injectors, you should start by changing it to the stock VN injector rate figure of 0.13. that will be much closer to being right.

nah .03 was what i was using for 80lbs i think ...

go back to page 1/2 we worked out the injectors are about 42lb and the injector rate etc .....

umm .... which map are you using for methanol ? i had map b setup for it so make sure your setting it up, if it is running really lean on map b then that would be because of the .03 ..... but if your on map a then change .06 to .066 or .07 .....

also if you can't see the 3rd digit right click on the injector rate and edit item xdf info and change the significat digits from 2 to 3.

well, stock v6 injector rate of .13 is for 19 lbs injectors and petrol, run on methanol with the same .13 injector rate and 42lb injectors gives 2.21 times more fuel which makes .13 absolutely spot on for what the injector rate should be.

How do I tell if I'm using "map a or map b"?

I am no expert but i thought map a was used until the boost reached a certain level then it switches to map b under boost when using a 2 bar map sensor

default = map a
map switch grounded = map b

if you have no idea you will probably not have a map switch connected and you would be on map a


btw, .06 should be close for the inj rate, coz the methanol flows double the fuel as to what petrol does by having 6.4:1 in the target AFR tables... my bad :shh: so jsut do as holden202 says, fudge it a bit be adding 10% or so at a time.

No map switch at the moment but will need know how to because the car is usually blown just learning how to tune for another motor & before hooking the blower backup.

Oh ok what jayme is talking about with a jumper connected is switching between tunes you can have two complete bin files loaded to the chip with different settings and switch between them via the jumper.
What i was referring to was in the tune their are settings for map a and map b from what i have seen you use map a before about 7 psi i think it is with a 2 bar map then it switches to map b in the tune as a reference for boost above 7psi.

:wtf: Pin B9 switched between map a or map b tables in the same bin. Boost or no boost, switch it whenever you like .. dunno where the 7psi came from?

If you ground B9 the map b tables are used, leave it unconnected and its using all the map a tables. If it does not say map a or map b then they are used regardless of pin B9 being grounded or not.

So am i wrong in thinking that's how a 2 bar tune works ?
And if it works the way you have described i can run 2 maps mapA set with more advance different ve say for flat rd maximum power and mapb backed off a little for normal driving up steep hills under extreme load towing etc etc in the same bin and ground that pin b9 to switch between them then have 2 bins switched by jumper giving me 4 different variations.
Thats real good to know never knew it worked like that .
