I did start adjusting some stuff on my mates VS L67 as that is fairly well defined but then he went and had a boo boo and now it's parked up awaiting repairs.
Hopefully it all gets defined. Takes so bloody long though 😢

That's why I tend to drive manually when driving "spirited" I hate waiting for the auto to do it's thing.

But firm shits are better for a auto box anyway. Slip/slop = wear and tear.

Anyone noticed the class action lawsuit about the auto trans in the VE/VF models? I'm fairly sure that also has to do with the programming rather than a actual mechanical flaw and poor service requirements.

It does but it's something I'm not good at. I've done a few copy and paste jobs for stuff that was easy from other definitions but if it's in a different location and moved stuff about then I find my limits.

Yeah I found just increasing pressures gives clunky changes. I think it’s just more the mellowed down shift times. No doubt it’s more of a program issue with the vf’s 😂 I thought the exact same thing when I read about it.

I also lowered cranking ignition timing. Before it was set at around 15deg no matter what temperature it was. But my way of thinking is that an engine doesn’t need the same ignition timing when it’s cold vs hot. Had me stumped at first though, as in the xdf it said it was commanding something like 30deg. But after changing the calcs that’s all sorted now. No more violent startup. Also changed the calcs in the iac air tables.

NOS exhaust manifold, that's got to be rare?

Nah from the wreckers mate. Plan is to try a low mount the turbo. And I’ll try weld cast iron to sch40 pipe. If that doesn’t work I’ll still be able to make a jig from that. That’s if I can get it all to fit down there. I’m not too keen on a top mount turbo setup this time.

I’ll use the cut off flange from the pipe attached to the manifold from the wreckers, so that’s the drivers side sorted. Just use the flange as the start of the crossover pipe. And I’ll use the maxspeedingrods 44mm gate for mock-up. Now just need to order a t3 flange, and need a day or two to try see if I can mock it all up in the car.

How do you intend to get the oil back to the sump?
According to chemistry, alcohol is a solution...

I’ll have to look at fitment once I’m mocking up. I have looked at the sump and looks like there’s enough room for a return there
