thats half the reason why it only comes on at boost, in the gemini this fuel system with one pump started to loose pressure at 327hp at wheels, so thats why i went to the second pump.

i have a pressure sensor on the reg for measuring pressure also. (how i found out i needed the second pump in the first place)

I understand what your saying. The surge tank looks big enough to run the quarter. My EVO has a similar thing where it ups the voltage to the pump when under boost (don't know what triggers it with no map sensor. Never bothered to look into it.) so as long as the tuning is right for the increase in all will be OK.

finished off the back seat welding in.
and made a CAD template into a metal one and got it partially welded in, feels like a massive step forward getting that bit done!
it reminds me of that project binky lastest ep where he spend 15hrs or something on the wiper brackets, with making the template and getting to this point above there is probably 8-10 hrs in that section alone!

the whole idea of the surge tank is to keep it full all the time so you never run out of fuel, so to do that you need the lift pump running all the time and it just returns back to the main tank once its full...... that line also stops the surge tank getting pressurised or vacuumed.

While the amp drawer component would be favourable (even if only a little) the two main reasons are,

1. so that you dont have ethanol/methanol remaining in your surge tank at the end of your day.
2. so that you have independant cutoffs with your specific pumps and that way you only need to worry about cutting fuel to the main pumps.

When I ran the suzi 800 it was about individual cuts. it is far easier to kill one circuit than the whole lot. (Main reason is the power steer pump I designed in the suzi was driven off electrical motor to not have it preload the crank. Car was a amazing bit of kit and lost of fun, but then I found corners and the suzi would not do corners well. (picture similar sizing to delco's starlet. running a magna 2.6L motor EFI with turbo. No weight + heaps of power = lots of fun with brown pants occasionally.)

Your firewall and trans tunnel look very well designed. I remember doing this type of cad work when designing ducting etc at uni (wow that was a long time ago) Looks like a piece of origami and is beautiful well done Holden202T

i cant take all the credit, dad and 2 brothers were over on sunday, i was definitely supervising more than working i reckon lol!

oh how could i forget to mention what finally arrived the other day just in time for the weekend!

So the new ones are 15 x 10 and the old one is 15 x 7 with a 10 inch slick on it, its also got the same back space, so means 3 inch more dish (as you can see)
The slick sits pretty much the same height as the rim so will just mean it will belly out less which should be good as the contact patch was slightly rounded.
This was the last bit i need other than axles, so once i get the money i will cut down another diff for these rims and fill it with all the goodies i have waiting
