Re: learning to tune delco 808 ecu
so i assume its running the 808 wiring etc on the ecotec ? if so sounds very similar to my torana, have a look in the custom tunes area there is a ecotec 808 tune i posted up there, might give you an idea of what you need to do ...

Yeah its call delcohacking.net sorry jokes aside it is not simple, you'll need to read and read some more, and if you ask questions, you need to be more specific than 'how to tune'. We can answer specific questions, but general 'how do i tune?' is too wide, and covers basically all the information on the site and then some.

Re: learning to tune delco 808 ecu
not quite, you need to use v1.00 xdf for that file.holden08 wrote:yea i downloaded yours i got the ac stuff conectec will it work with your tune i opend your tune with ose$12p_v101_1.xdf is that correct so far
now with regards to your pinging issue, you will find that the spark table in my ecotec tune is much more suited to what you need.
any of the 808 based V6 tunes have far too much spark advance for the ecotec, i've spent alot of time logging with the ecotec with a map sensor on it (my brothers car) to get enough info to make a spark table that works with the ecotec on an 808!
depending on your setup you might find that you'll need to adjust the VE table too, i had an exhaust on mine and it needed a bit of work!
