Hey,
I have just purchased a VX XU6. I want to put the engine into a VS ute. I have worked out everything except i have now been told i need to disable a vat setting in order to get the engine running in the vs. Is this correct?? If it is can someone help me do it?? I asked at holden but they had no idea. Really want to get this project started. Thanks
Help needed.

Re: Help needed.
Just a quick question, which ECU are you planning on using, the one originally in VS or from VX.
If using the VX one you will have problems with low speed cooling fans due to them being BCM controlled and the ALDL stream for instruments being different will create problems with instruments and trip computer.
If using the VS one, you should be able to use a VS supercharged bin (BTBP or CKUM) and not disable the VATS at all. The only thing being, to run a VS SC bin you require an ECU with PN 16210672 / 16210480 based on DR Bob's site http://www.memcals.com/rcc_info_memcals.html
If your vehicle already has one of these no problem, otherwise try and get one from a wreckers and program the memcal to suit with VATS off.
I assume you are leaving the stock auto in behind the motor?
