VSS in tune

Post by felsy »

hi i have a 4x4 with a holden 5lt in it and since putting it in i have had engine light on and occasonal stalling at traffic lights because i have not brought the VSS adaptor from marks adaptors to hook up to the 808 ecu, i rang around to see if it could be tuned out but was told could only get it turned off but not tuned out and reccomended to get the vss adaptor because it is something the ecu relies on and the nissan 4x4 vss one cannot be used,
so i ended up spending the $380 on the adaptor recently only to start looking at tuning the motor myself, and after looking on TP5 i see that you can change the vss pulse rate!!!
am i right in thinking i could of wired up the electronic nissan speed sensor on my 4x4 and changed the pulse rate on the tune to suit?

depends how the vss sensor operates, there's all different types, like reluctor or squarewave.
