when the engine reaches 4800rpm what does it use to determain the ve as that is as far as the tabbles go

im just learning the basics and im wondering how to modify the tune after that point using a standard xdf i no that i can use an $12p or equivelent but i just want slightly modify the factory bin

What bin are you tuning? $5D has the VE going to 7200RPM, it would use the 7200RPM row for any RPM above that. The spark stops at 4800RPM and then uses the scalar called F1 extension slope to increase spark as the RPMs rise above 4800RPM - the extension slope is deg per 1000RPM, so if its set at 4deg by 5800RPM the spark advance will be 4deg higher than the 4800RPM value.

im using a $5d xdf
low rpm goes to 2400
high rpm to 4800
