reset odometer to correct reading

Post by Dazza92VP »

G'day
just a quick question i've recently put a statesman lvl3 cluster into my vp but the new dash reads 320,000km and the car only has a mileage of 204,000km and i can't afford to have the car off the road while i send the dash off to be reset now my question is can i put the ppks to 1 and just put the speed sensor into a drill or die grinder and flick it over to the correct mileage or with the digital dash does it go into the millions? if i can't i'll just have to wait till i have the time to remove the dash and send it off?
Cheers

read this thread here if you want to do it yourself, otherwise send me a message or email and i can sort something out without sending the cluster back.
