VS 5ltr Scan Tool

Hi All
I have a Tech2 scan tool and it works fine on my VT 5ltr and other cars etc, but it doesn't work on my vs 5ltr, i was wondering if anyone knows why? Otherwise, what tools can i use to scan it, the IAC has failed, i repalced it with a new one but is idles at 1800rpm, with the tech2 you can test the iac by ramping it up and down, dont know what to do. Any ideas?
The tech2 lists the VS 5ltr but wont connect to the ecu

Tech1 does VL-VS
Tech2 Does VT Up

Series 3 VS V8 does run VT PCM which is Tech2
