$76A VS LPG input pin

Post by gibbo »

Can anyone tell me - is there an address location that tells the ecu to look for the A9 pin, 12 volt input that causes it to switch between gas and petrol? Is that how it works?

Yes 12v applied to A9 Petrol Mode, no voltage LPG mode.

Also Check the PCM Serial Numbers, For Example

86145855S551110143

55111 Component, 55110 is the minimum, under this it will not run a LPG tune.

Sorry, what I meant was - is there a parameter in Tuner Pro that looks for the change in 12 volts so the ecu knows to swap between gas and petrol?

There is a parameter in the cal, for $76 it is at 0x382E mask 0x01
1= LPG capable, 0= not LPG capable

my serial is xxxxxxs75202xxxx so I should be right? The ecu has a "lpg memcal fitted" sticker on it, no memcal was in it when i got it. I wired it up like the apexus vs diagram. It runs on gas but shows a 31 error straight away but keeps running . It wont run on petrol even if I switch over while running. Its in my Hilux with vs v6 no bcm. I have burnt other bins and had them running successfully :wtf:

Code 31 is no VATS from the (missing) BCM, disable VATS and your good to go on petrol - its just that the injectors are not being enabled.
