Got my USB comm board today
So it was time to open up my spare VN 3800 V6 Manaul ECU and take a look at the memcal. (I'll be changing to NVRam)
The chip has a sticker over it with SSV VN 3800. Is that stock or has it been played with. Now that I have the USB comm. board
(thanks VL400 & I'll be putting through a payment tonight to get the NVRAM kit for the VS ecotec. I'll PM on that )
I'll conect it up and take a look at the bin??!! time to get the brain straining.

Thats the HSV tune. Either
ARBP $5D 89, 3.8L V6 Auto 1227808 HSV, SV3800
or
ASBY $A5 89, 3.8L V6 Auto & Man 1227808 HSV, SV3800 Update
If it was factory it'd say delco and either ARBP or ASBY, so thats likely someones ebay purchase. Both are downloadable here https://pcmhacking.net/forums/view ... 7&t=3#p226 if you wanted to have a play in tunerpro.

Re: A VN manual V6 memcal SSV sticker???
Thanks.
It has it written on a "sticker"(masking tape) and is written by hand.
the chip itself has the numbers;
M27C256B <-(I'm guessing is 256Bit??)
-I0FI
5880K
9836E
I will be converting to NVRam with this anyway.

Re: A VN manual V6 memcal SSV sticker???
definately not stock, the chip size is also larger then a VN/VP chip (27c128)
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Just soldering the interface to fit the USB COMM board.
Then after much reading I'll figure out how to use TunerPro and memcal tool to find out the tune that's on it
I decided to put a pic up. Its a cool looking Memcal.
Sorry about the size but it does make it clear to see

i'd suggest not exposing that too too much light with the window uncovered on the chip or it could corrupt the tune.
