need custom tune for vs 3 v8

hi, im new to the forum...

ive recently aqquired a vs 3 v8 automatic. roller vt engine. for very very cheap, so im fixing it up for my daily transport.

ive got a set of hm extractors and a 2.5 inch cat back and k&n panel filter in the box...

looking for somebody that can provide me with a plug in memcal to make it feel alive...

i previously had a vs ecotec and i recon it would make mince meat of this ute. my mate has a vs clubbie (auto) and it goes much better than my ute. he has extractors, filter and exhaust+chip and it feels much more alive on the throttle, im looking for simmilar power gains for my car...

obviously i know these things are not power houses, but it should definatly feel more toey, so im hoping that fitting the above parts+ chip and new injectors will sort it out...

currently its dead stock and the parts above are waiting to go on..

its had major servicing works in the recent days. new leads, coil, dizzy cap, rotor button, fuel pump/filter, injectors (stock yet to be installed), timimng adjustment and a fair bit of other things, ...

it seems pretty sluggish, is this how they are? is there somthing in the chain that im missing to do?

it threw a code, maf and vacc leak.... i cleaned the maf and took it for a very quick squirt and it was slightly better....

anyways can anybody help me on sorting this thing out.. ive been in many 304 efi cars and i cannot recall any of them bieng so sluggish...

and yes the box and the rest of the car are in good order.. the compression is 155 even in all 8, the box feels like its brand new, im guessing its some silly gremlin pissing me off...

if its throwing error codes you want to be fixing all of them before you need to worry about any performance tuning.

thanks for the reply mate, the error codes have been sorted and its running correctly.

so can you help with a memcal, i dont want to buy a ebay backfire job..

about the only thing i can suggest to improve it other than tuning it properly, is maybe to use a hsv tune to suit your combination.
