Tuner pro/tech 2

Post by 0081(2) »

Just wondering if you can change things in the cluster like the PPK for a diff change and just change general programing using tuner pro or do i need some other software.
If you cant using tuner pro what can i use. dont want to buy a tech 2 would really like to just use a a laptop and the data cable.

I have seen other people being able to change the logo on the dash when you start the car startup to the HSV one and even a custom one but they didnt know what softeare it was, any ideas on what iot might be?

TP wont be able to change the cluster easily like you do when adjusting a tune, they are security locked so require a bit of work to gain access. Heaps of info here .. https://pcmhacking.net/forums/view ... =13&t=1441 and here .. https://pcmhacking.net/forums/view ... =13&t=2378

Thanks VL400

I have seen one guy on just commodores that has a nice easy to use front end that lets him talk to the clusters (well he says he can) i think he said something about him making the software himself.
Kind of hoping that someone here has some more info as those links didnt look like that there is a easy way to talk to the clusters without extra hardware...

Yeah that would be mine.

My software is an *update* from some older software plus some new items from scantools ect. My software is not publicly released but the old software seems to be lurking around. Id advise not using it with a VZ, VZ responds differently in a couple of tables and places the information in incorrect places, changing them will produce the infamous "not programmed" message. Shouldnt be a worry with VY's.

Can you point me towards the "older software" i only need it to change some settings in my VY..

Does the older software allow for custom messages on startup?...
