Just installed au thermo fans on my vs 5.0l and I have them running on a separate relay for each fan to 2 switches in the cabin, left and right. Still running stock front fan but want to run the au fans from the ecu, sick of flicking switches.
What would be the best way to tackle this?

Re: Thermo fan control
not sure about running them seperately but you should be able to wire the relay into the ecu in place of the switches.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: Thermo fan control
well i guess the first question is what computer is it ?
auto or manual, and is it a series 3 VS or not ?
the diagram i have for a vs v8 manual shows C1 as the high speed fan control and its blu/w .... and A8 is to BCM/ABS ?
but then on vs v8 auto it appears that the A8 is the one your after.

Re: Thermo fan control
Dont forget to adjust the temp cut in point as the V8 is set really high from factory. The A/C fan is currently wired on pin A8 too, so will have all 3 fans on with A/C or when the temp gets to your cut in point.
There is also a low speed fan output from the PCM on pin A6 - will need to add a wire to this though as it wont be in the loom already. Will also need to set the flag for this to work, "2 speed fan option".
