ok guys, heres the problem. a friend of mine has a torana with a l67 vt motor. after loads of bad advice and a blown motor. hes asked for help.
they had a vn loom on it with no cas, ran fine but it did blow up. but utilised the map. hes got a 2bar map.
then someone told him to get a standard loom vt loom, it had vats obviously. but they use maf... right?
so now hes got a vr loom with cas. ill get the vats taken off if its the right way to go.
hes happy to buy whatever will work. thanks for any advice.
l67, w58 box, which loom?

VT loom with standard gear would be easiest, fit factory memcal with vats off and changed to manual. Have sent pm if interested in memcal.

vn or vr loom will make no difference, i assume by CAS you mean the cam sensor ? if so this wont change too much
the main problem will be that the VT motor has a totally difference spark and fuel requirement to a VN/VP/VR motor and thats without boost in the equation!
the map based computers will work fine provided you tune the thing to suit the motor is on! but for straight plug and play with the right gear for that motor, The1 has the answer!

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!
