Re: low speed fan pinout
Is that speed from the ECU (datalogging) or what the speedo is showing?

Re: low speed fan pinout
Being a VQ thought the ppk may have been wrong, but looks like it's ok so it must be something else?

Re: low speed fan pinout
yea had that problem a while ago it wasnt locking up the tcc and that was because of the ppk but ive sorted that out now and its dead on but this has got me stumped. i changed the fan road speed setting a couple of time just to make sure i hadnt used a bin that had it changed to what i wanted and not actually uploaded but its definately at 55km/h in the ecu im stumped with this one

Re: low speed fan pinout
Will need VL400 to confirm but I think the following is correct.
The fan will be on if Coolant Temp is/has been greater than the fan on temp and is yet to meet the 5 or 6C hysterisis to turn off, regardless of vehicle speed. ie.100km/h hot day towing the fan will be on if it is required regardless of vehicle speed.
The speed control will only work if you have AC On and the Coolant Temp is below the fan on temp when you are above 55km/h in your case.

Re: low speed fan pinout
Yoda is spot on in explaining the way the fan works with the temp and speed scalars. The speed item is just so the fan can assist in cooling the condenser with A/C on at low speeds, above 55kph it is not needed.
