Hi
I have a FJ40 Landcruiser with a 3.8L Ecotec V6 from a VS Commodore in it.
I Have been plying around with TunerPro RT doing some logging and was able to diagnose a few problems on the engine, such as O2 Sensor bad ground.
The only problem i am having is when the temperature reaches 80 Degrees and the thermo fan kicks in, Tuner Pro keeps giving me DA Data Errors. I initially thought it was the thermo fan current was causing voltage drop at the ecu. I took the fan relay out and it still has the same problem when the pcm fan output is energised. At the same time i get DTC 92 Low speed fan fault. Im guessing this is because its a conversion and it only has one large 16 inch thermo fan and no low speed fan.
Could this DTC 92 be causing the DA Data Errors?

Re: Thermo fan causing data error
the fan is normally controlled by the BCM and the ECM sends messages to the BCM to turn it on/off etc and these will be the data your seeing.
unfortunately I don't know if there is much you can do about it.

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

The frame header that tunerpro is listening for must not be properly defined in the adx. Either that Or chatter is not being disabled properly

Re: Thermo fan causing data error
if your not using a BCM then set your low fan to max temp in/out and just use high fan for normal operation to turn your single fan on/off, as the BCM usually controls the low fan.
