Hi all,
I have been ironing out the bugs in my L67 powered suzuki sierra in some other threads. But now all is good. So I am going to ask the question:
Is there any more power to be had from the L67 by tweaking the stock tune?
The engine is mechanically stock.
around 11PSI boost.
Water/meth injection.
As it is, it goes great, but just wondering if I would be wasting my time with tuning the ECU if no further mechanical mods are done?

Given you have slightly higher boost I would say yes, if you have an wideband O2 sensor fitted you will get more accurate tuning on it

With the greatly improved power to weight of a Sierra compared to a commodore there will certainly be good scope for improved performance with clever tuning.
Not sure what fuel system you have but as long as its 50psi+ fuel pressure (similar to stock L67 when the pumps on high speed) the tune will take plenty of timing through the middle to top rpm range.

Ok thanks for that. The fuel pressure holds up nicely while wide open so that should not be a problem. I dont have a wideband oxygen sensor fitted at this stage, i may have to look into it.
