Vr ecu/harness to ecotec

Post by v8-tuning »

Got a vs with ecotech v6 after doing some research
found you can swap the vr wiring harness.
Is it a straight swap or does it need mods?
I prefer the map based system for tuning so would
like to go this way and have a 424 ecu sitting here.
Got a knock sensor too.
I bought it with the intentions of converting it to a v8
but im toying with ideas of forced induction atm.
Maybe m90 from the super six.

If you want to go forced induction with the 4L60E you'll need to run one of the extended MAF bins on the VS pcm as there is no 2 bar map code for the 424, (kalmaker being the exception).

Ok ,i did forget about that.
N/a would be fine though.
I was going to give the enhanced vs bin a go is that the bin your talking about?
Not keen on kalmaker.
