I'm running the more or less original $5D file on the 5L VP. Spark table is different. I'm trying to get it to start easier while on LPG. If you turn it off and then crank within several seconds it starts immediately. If sitting for several hours it needs a blip on the primer solenoid (the one that presses the diaphragm button in) then it will crank, catch, almost die then pull up and go. Overnight needs primer solenoid blipped then several seconds of the other primer that bleeds into the manifold and hold the latter while cranking and again it will catch, almost die then pull up and go.
The really pesky part is when it has been sitting for 5-15 minutes or whatever. Gotta crank for at least 5 seconds, often more. The KISPKCLT temperature threshold is set at 68 deg C and the KISPKHOT position is 75 steps open. I want to try having the IAC open wider during cranking. WIll bumping up the KISPKHOT figure do this?
Open IAC further during cranking?
