Diff ratio change VN/VP PPK adjustment
Hey All,
I know in the past with diff ratio changes most folks recommend fitting a Jaycar speedo corrector kit (as I have done previously), however would it be just as easy to simply adjust the PPK value in the tune? I can't see it causing any other issues as there are no transmission settings that would be effected like the later model Commodores with the electronic transmissions.

ppk settings wont change the speedo, as the vn/vp speedo receives the signal before the ecm.

Yes that's spot on the1 everyone seems to think that in the vt etc you can change the speedo via ppk but as you stated it has to be changed with tech 2 in the dash.

or you can open the speedo and mod it with 1 variable resistor and make it infinately udjustable
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

I know in the vn/vp speedo (not level 3)there was an adjustable trimpot that I used to adjust but I don't know if it changed the odo or not.

Nice Work Delcowizz, I have thought about it a few times but never bothered looking into it, but that is simple nice & covers both areas!

I know that with the T5 manual trans you can change the Speedo gear inside the box.
