Tuning - VT V6 Realtime Modded Factory Bin

Hi all,

I've just finished tuning my na VN V6 running on 12P. It is now running sweet. :D

I'm now going to tune my VT V6 auto. I couldn't seem to find a getting started guide for the MAF system.

I am using CXWB modv2 bin (realtime modded factory bin file), with the correct xdf & adx to suit. Also the OSE plugin & vl400 nvram.

My question is where do I start to dial in the fuel map?

In 12P this is done with the 20 - 100kpa VE table.

Is there a similar table in the VT bin? Is it just called something different?

Thanks,
vc81

Fuelling is in the injector multiplier table.

I was also wondering about this, im in the process of tuning a vt v6 auto aswell. I was told by another guy who does a lot of tuning I could do most fueling changes through the "Open loop AFR Vs mgc Vs RPM" table, where it finishes at 4,800rpm it will use that column right through to end rpm. Is this correct? ive also brought up this table for the injector rate which was the closest I could find to injector multiplier table, correct me if im wrong please, but will this table offer that adjustment? im still getting my head around these newer vehicles also :) .
thanks heaps

Thanks for your reply the1.

Is this the table you mean? If this is the correct table could you please explain how it works?

Thanks,

injector mulitplier is 0-2, so higher will increase injector pulse width lower will lower it, it will affect all fueling states as it is a multiplier directly on the injector flow rate. Open loop is basicly for warmup so minimal use, the rest of the time your in closed loop

Thanks The1. So do I just go for a drive and take a log then play the log back to fill the AFR target log histogram & wideband log histogram?
Do BLM's need to be turned off whilst doing this log? If so how do I turn BLM's off?

Thanks again,
vc81

Yeah same process as you have been tuning with - get target AFR == actual AFR

Always turn off BLMs if your not using them to tune with. Adjust 'Closed Loop Determination - Enable Temperature Threshold' and can reset the PCM to erase BLMs. Or maybe try adjusting 'BLM Low Coolant Temp Cutoff' and 'BLM High Coolant Temp Cutoff' to fix the BLMs at 128/0%.

you can do it with BLM's ON but you will have to adjust it via STFT(Short Term Fuel Trim) and LTFT(Long Term Fuel Trim), adjust via LTFT but check that STFT is near 0 and use running averages.
