Barina XC SRI Mask ID $11 ??

Greetings

Ive been looking into tuning the ecu in my barina for some time now.
They do it all over the UK however in Australia there are very limited options, almost non existant to tuning options.

Heres where I am at currently:

Managed to interface with the ecu and pull the bin file off it. Identified 42 potential maps in winols, now to start picking away at the useless data to find the actual maps I need. (any guidence on this would be fantastic, always keen to learn)

Here is where it gets interesting.

While using an OBD2 scan tool (to find out if my o2 sensor has had it, it has  )
i came across some readings under the ecu data headding.

It says:

OBD compatability: OBD1
$11

Im curious if that means the car is actually OBD1 not OBD2 as I originally thought and it has a Mask id of $11.

I know the Mask Id $11 is common with our holden commodores so is it possible there may already be an XDF out there compatable with my car?, and is it possible to have a car that is OBD1 with an OBD2 connector??
Damn euro cars being so different and difficult.

The car is a Holden XC barina SRI 2001 with the Z18XE engine which i believe is run by the Siemens Simtec 71 ecu GM part number 09115113. Also known as the Corsa C sri overseas and has the same running gear as the Astra G and H.

I have attached a picture of the ecu data pulled using the Galletto

Any help is greatly appreciated, And its nice to finally be a part of the forums

Kind Regards
Rick

P.s. I can upload the Bin file from the ecu if anyone wants.

Your right $11 was used in VR V6 and V8 auto.
Best thing is post your bin so people can have a look at it.

Here is the file.

All signs point to the car being OBD2, although I originally thought the SRI came out with the simtec 70 and turns out the part number corrisponds to the simtec 71 which is why i was able to read the data on the ecu under the headding, Astra VDO 71, 71.1

Thank you in advance :)

Yeah I did the same, not with that bin (haven't downloaded it as yet) but with 5 other Z18XE files I have & as there only 24KB I didn't think it would line up with $11 & looked in hex & nothing similar that I could see!

The bin is not the same $11 as used on the Commodore. Its also pretty small for an entire bin, its like its just the calibration.

fair enough.

So im thinking maybe my scan tool might be incorrect.
Is there any way to discover what the id would be? would it be written somewhere in the hex?

thank you all for your help btw :) didnt think id get so many replies so soon.

I'm not convinced is not the entire BIN?

I used a different software but looks very similar, your window shows a little more info!

But in the first section of the BIN it looks like it shows the ECM version, serial no. & the VIN a bit later I know it's only small but these cars are very basic so I'm not convinced either way?

I've attached my bin of the same engine different model see if it helps with identifying any of the 40 maps the previous WINOLS detected.

I wish I could help more but I haven't got into mapping yet!

It looks like it is just the cal segment.

Injection table is at 44BB
Spark tables are at 3B93 and 3CB6

Checksum is 16 bit at 5EE0
