Howdy all, My firt post.
I have an 86 Subaru L series sedan was 4wd.
now has vs ecotech 3.8 and auto RWD
Whats the best plan with the wires?
A Mate who is a pcm member (told me about this group) could help too but I want to get the project underway before I wast too much of his time.
it will be set up as push button start and minimal wires ( no road car)

Fit a pcm and matching engine/ trans loom with either a security (VATS) delete or VL400s bcm simulator. Patch in the essential wires like VSS (road speed which will need to be calibrated to your diff ratio) and fuel pump and start tuning. Not sure on the base fuel pressure of your car but I think it would be important to ensure a capable fuel pump is on board.

I had an L series a few years back, great little car and was pretty close to doing a TBI delco conversion on the boxer. It had a rough life but kept on going, a V6 would have been much more fun though...

Can someone tell me how to wire the relays needed ie fuel, thermo, ignition ive got a vs pcm and loome
does the pcm send voltage or earth

The fuel pump output goes against the norm on a Delco and switches 12V.

I would like to put the Auto trans in limp mode, I cut the green wire D2 but that didn't work.

why you want limp mode you will only have 2nd 3rd and reverse availiable

Ive got a major loss of traction. And am competing in a dirt event this w/end. need t take off in a higher gear.

ok a suggestion ....

leave the box fully working and change the tune to make it select the gear you put the stick in when you do it ?

im pretty sure somewhere on here there is a full manual mod thread ?
