vr pcm park neutral select

Post by Dazza92VP »

hey guys just wondering if anyone knows were the vr commodore picks up the park neutral select from as ive got a gq patrol with a vr v8 with 424 in it running a t350 and as far as i can see the ecu has no park neutral input into it like the 808 so is it picking this up off of the bcm or am i missing the pinouts? also its getting a tps stuck fault it has a new sensor on it and the wiring and pins all check out ok the cable is fine an the throttle body is not stuck only thing i can think off is that the malf parameters need tweaking as its in a 4x4 and maybe seeing different pressures
any ideas?

It uses the 3 range switch inputs for knowing where the shifter is. For park/neutral its range switch b grounded.

If yo can data log it, reset the fault and then drive until it logs a code. Should be able to see what triggered the TPS stuck. Might just need the expected TPS vs RPM table adjusted.

ok cool wasnt sure if it used the range switch to signal park/drive or if it just used them as a validation of the clutch solenoid engagement only
i went for a drive and logged it but as usual as soon as you hook the laptop up everything decides to play ball just gotta be lucky and hope if faults next time i log it
