Hey Guys,
New to the forum needing some help. Been doing my research on VY VZ Cluster and making appropriate changes. I bought a VZ SS Cluster from ebay (was cheap), now if I use OSE Flash tool and get the bin from my stock cluster, then plug in the VZ SS Cluster and use "write bin" and select the stock VZ Cluster bin will that flash and configure setting per stock? I understand i will need to clear the airbag code after this is done (I have an acclaim) but will it work? appreciate all your help and love the site!

the OSE flash tool is for engine computers! you wont be able to flash dashes with it! I think it was Tazzi who made a tool for playing with dashes. perhaps he will comment.

while that guide may work, its not using any of the main functions of the OSE flash tool to do it! its just using the OSE flash tool's ability to allow you to send a custom command up the serial port! you could do the same with any program that allows you to send hex strings up a serial port!.
none of the upload or download buttons will work. just a simple string of commands to set certain settings in the dash. im sure there is a way to download the settings off your old dash, but you would need a guide to decoding what the return string is. I think you would be much better off seeing if tazzi can help you out.

Wow flashtool gets around 
Lots of the clusters memory is protected so needs to pass a security challenge, this has not been added to the flashtool as I dont think it should be available for public consumption.
I also second seeing if Tazzi can sort it out for you.

Apologies for reviving an old thread but did you manage to re-flash the cluster Domowa?Ive also just started messing around with the aldl and elm327 on my VZ and would like to get another cluster as a spare.Being from SA they definitely not cheap for us not even from ebay.
