Tuner lock LS1 VX

Post by CAFA_TF »

ECM programmed with HP tuners
LS1 GenTT auto
Tune uploaded

Hi guys I made a bench harness Grabbed software on elm street Pulled my Key successfully and it is tuner locked, im not sure what my options are best way to go about deciphering it
My initial plan was to read the info manually copy what i could in to efilive and use it as a base tune on another ecm, keep my HPT tuner one as a back up
IS there a way to convert the HP tuner file to bin so i can read it?
What programs should i use?

any help would be appreciated
cheers

I think you need to contact the tuner and get it unlocked ..... I don't know that theres any other way around it ....

if it isnt a custom O/S you can read it from the PCM with efilive, or other ls1 tuning software and open it. if it is a custom o/s, then only HPT can read it, and I know of no way of getting around a HPT tuner lock.

ahhhhhhh thats horrible, i have pulled it with efi live but must be custom OS cos it can not read it, i may just have to buy WB O2s and retune it from scratch :(

Yes yes it is, it may be altho its only running 1 bar i guessed it was a maffless tune custom os
i dont mind the tune, i only just built the gearbox and want to tinker with the line pressure temp graph as, they didnt even look at it, and my aircon makes for a hard shift at 14 psi.. because of where my transmission cooler is....tight for space and all

got a dyno graph and some pics of your engine to share? 2 bar sensor is good for 1 bar of boost as atmospheric pressure is 1 bar from absolute zero, and 2 bar is 1 bar above atmospheric pressure... so it more than likely has a 2 or 3 bar sensor and custom o/s to suit.

You need to read it with hpt if u can read it with efi live you have unlocked it but efi live wont recognize the custom operating system and same goes for reafing a efi custom operating system with hpt
