Can't connect flash tool or tunerpro ?

Post by Nitro Worms »

I've run into a problem with my ose12p equipped 808 and not sure what I've done wrong. been connecting to tunerpro fine last 2 days then
I decided to try and connect with the flashtool and now I can't connect to ecm at all.?

I was trying to upload a fresh version of ose12p and a fresh tune but it's a complete fail

I have tried:

setting the comms ports in programs/comms
lots of different combinations of settings in the flash tool.
disconnecting delco from car.

I'm running tunerpro RT5

any ideas?

Thanks

Have you verified the comm port number in device manager? Different USB ports can change that number sometimes.

the device manager lists 3 comms as being in use so i just picked a different one and set flashtool, and options inn tunerpro the same.
I just uninstalled tunerpro and deleted the flashtool along with the plugin and doownloaded all new stuff so i will go up to the car now and try that.

:hmm:

Put up a screen shot of device manager if you still have trouble

yeah, I can't get it to connect at all. when i plug my usb from laptop into the usb fitting i soldered into the delco 808 the lights come on ecu and
in device manager it shows the port in use I can choose any port i like up to 30 or so and then in options for tunerpro plugin my chosen port from device manager highlights as an option so all appears ok. I think there is something wrong with the nvram or ecu? either that or something i downloaded is not compatible with this windows 8 ?

I dont follow what you men buy choose any port number. I always use the one windows assigns to it.

windows assigns a port and i then enter that number into tunerpro oseplugin configs and the flashtool configs but doesnt connect. I then tried manually changing the ports in device manager but no joy. the drivers are windows assigned and when i cick update drivers it says i already have the best drivers working.

Oh yep chooses com port in tuner pro. Sorry thought you meant in window's. In windows 7 I had to install FTDI manually but with windows 10 whatever it installed works fine.

Try different echo setting maybe?

I tried turning echo on and off. I have an old laptop here I will download tunerpro and the other stuff to it and try that. If It doesnt connect I wil have to send it to someone on here to see if ose12p needs to be re installed onto nvram ? or could I download the ose12p and get a local jaycar dealer to burn it onto the nvram?
