vy v6 reading with flashtool

Hi Guys, got a vy v6 thats been put in a rodeo as a conversion. Trying to remove vats as it's using a v6 conversions body control Simulator and keeps playing up. sometime starts, sometimes dosent (i have found if i remove and refit the simulator after a few times it will start) I have the usb cable and flashtool. I cant seem to get any communication. I have tried both removing the sim and leaving in. Ive tried turning off ecm and bcm chatter, i'm selecting flash pcm in vehicle and aldl. It did communicate once and go through a few checks like checking for interface type (went through heaps) and run through the security key but once it found security key and unlocked it lost communication again. Dont know where to go from here. help would be great thanks

all good i disconnected sim, selected flash in car, aldl, unchecked rt and kalmaker leaving only factory, unchecked bcm and ecm chatter and unchecked heartbeat, got the read all good!!!
