VR key programming
I have lost one of my keys for my VR and am wondering if there is a way of programming a new key other than paying a locksmith. I have a Tech2 but don't think it will do ALDL only OBD2.
Re: VR key programming
VR is tech1, some workshops may have an older scantool that does multiple cars that can do it also.
There is a VS option in the tech2 i think 1999 maybe but i think that was engine only.

Thanks for the reply. I thought like the VS that there might be a funny procedure like sticking your tongue up your nose, crossing your fingers and wiggling your toes would do it but it looks like that's not the case. Looks like a locksmith is now the only way to do it.

Re: VR key programming
I bought an iCarScan to turn off oil service light on a few cars and was surprised when I hooked it up to a vr and it could activate lights ,wipers, door locks interior light , and reset keys
