vn ecu

Post by holden08 »

putting the vn ecu into vs commodore manual how to connect the speedo looks like the signal comes from the sensor streight to the speedo then from speedo to the ecu pin A10

yeah the VN and VS are slightly differnet in that regard... the VN Dash does a divide by 5 on the VSS then sends that to the ECU. when wiring it to the VS, you put the VSS direct to pin A10 on the ECU and that same wire also goes off to the dash for speedo. then you just use a VS bin in the memcal that has 6250 pulses per k in it.

the gearbox is out of a vn so the vss should be the same as the vn one so that should work shouldnt it can i add the wire from the speedo back to the ecu pin A10 or is it already in the vs

VN and VS VSS are the same anyway. the difference is the VN dash divides by 5 and the vs dash doesnt. there should already be a wire at the VS ecu to go to the speedo. so send the Vss straight to the ECU and find the wire that used to be VSS on the original PCM and tap taht into it as well.

the 2 pulse is an output. just send the signal from the VSS into the 10 pulse and tee off the same wire to go to the PCM

it will work fine, just run a VR or VS bin on your VN ecu instead.
