USB Vehicle Data Interface

I received mine today also i have managed to get windows to pick it up as a virtual com port but i cannot get tp 5 to pick it up so i can use the ose plugin to do some scanning/tracing before my nvram arrives?

Check what com port it is on, the plugin has a hard coded com1-com9, it does not auto detect the port yet, though it is on the list for the future. You might need to move another device out the way and set it to a usable com port.

its set to com3 in device manager and in tp 5 but still wont pick it up :(

I have one that looks the same i think i had to to enable or disable rs232 echo before it would work.

i have tried that too cheers for the input though :thumbup: i cannot work it out i will have have a chat to vl400 i think?

Have you loaded the drivers as per the instructions or let windows detect it? The latest drivers from FTDI seem to work well for me. Does the flashtool work with it??

flash tool seems to operate fine but i cannot get tp 5 to recognise it? it have the latest ftd drivers you recomended in the pdf doc.

Its possibly an echo issue (see the note here .. https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=613) or if your using a standard bin the plugin wont detect that, you must use the RT enabled bins.

i am using a rt enabled bin tried both echo on and off tp 5 just wont pick up the usb interface all it says is hardware not found when i try to detect hardware within tuner pro

Have you downloaded and installed the plug-in .. https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=590

Set it up as per the thread and it should detect the PCM when TP5 starts - will show down the bottom of the screen what it found.
