vs v8 help asap

Post by morpheousvsv8 »

Hi Guys ,

Im in need of some help , i have a vs v8 series 2 with a vr v8 engine , auto , loom andf ecu in it . now i have had the loom extend for the wires on the drivers sde, but i am not getting any injector pulse though it will wind over.
Im told this is because of the car being a vs with vs bcm and key though the ecu and loom being vr , i have tried a vr bcm and key though nothing , i have also been told that i need to remove the VATS on the ecu ???
Will this get it started? or should i just swap the vr loom and ecu to vs series 2 or 3 as i heard 3 is the same as 2.
Any help is greatly appreciated as i have tried everything and im ready to give up.

thanks Dan

yeah i reckon VATS is whats causing your isues.

i guess either option is possible .... getting VATS disabled is probably your easiest option though.

nope, VS series 3 is different altogether, you dont need to change any loom or ecu parts, you have 2 options - turn off vats on your current memcal OR go get a VS auto memcal. keep in mind, you will get it started that way but a VS transmission is differnet and will cause an engine light. really your best option is to get VATS turned off on your current VR memcal.

Hi Guys,

So i am getting the VATS removed as we speak a guy from streetcommoodres is doing it for me , i will still have to change the bcm and key to vr is that right or now the VATS is removed on the vr ecu the vs bcm and key will work.

Thanks again.

It will work fine with the current key bcm etc all the vats removal does is enable the injector pulse to work without the vr or vs bcm signal.
