USB drivers

Post by monaro308 »

Same old question.....A mate bought one of those chinese OBD2 usb diagnostics.
He cant get it to work on his laptop so i offered to "try"and get it working on my known working files.
I went through the same crap a few years ago and bit the bullet on the dearer known working USB with the proper ELM327 chip from Michael in SA i think.
I've tried every USB VCP driver i can think of and no luck on my ACER travelmate 530
It doesn't even recognise a USB interface being plugged in.
Any of you had success on a cheapy interface working on your USB laptop?
More to the point,a USB driver that recognises something being plugged into the USB port of the lappy.
I'm just killing time and see if i can get it working for him

can you pull the plug apart to see what chip it's using, then you can find the drivers.

if windows doesnt recognise it being plugged in, its faulty
there has to be something from windows before any driver will work..

If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem
