hi everyone .. i am in the process of setting up a VN series 1 ecu and loom for a 202 holden and wanted to know how to trick the ecu into thinking the auto was in park .. do i just earth the B10 wire ? .. or do need to set a flag in the ecu ?

Re: tricking ecu into thinking auto connected
why do you want to do that if you leave it just dissconnected the ecu thinks its manual i presume thats why you want it
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

Re: tricking ecu into thinking auto connected
yeah i thought i was sam, was hoping that the tranny switch was locking things out, cranked it over just before sadly no spark and no indication from the fault light .. most of the sensor are just hanging off the block atm so i was expecting a few fault codes to flash up but zip, dont have map sensor atm so off to wreckers to collect that but i dont think it will make any dif . so its back to hours of tracing wires and checking them against drawing .. lol ...

Re: tricking ecu into thinking auto connected
yeah theres nothing that will stop it getting spark other than ignition module and dizzy wiring.
so your using blue motor electronic dizzy with the two pickup coil wires connected to the P and N on the camira ignition module, then the four wires from the ecm are connected to the GBRE pins on the module (as per my thread wiring layout) then the other two wires on the plug beside that goto coil +ve and -ve ?
then the only other thing you need really is battery power to the +ve coil (can use the red wire that normally goes to the v6 dfi module for this)
another thing to check would be to put the ecm in diag mode and see if you get a code 12 flash up .... if thats not working then you might have a power issues to the ecm or something like that.
also connect a light to the fuel pump wire and it should flash on for 2-3 seconds when the ignition is turned on.
and thermo fan should work in diag mode too ....

Re: tricking ecu into thinking auto connected
thanks sam yeah works better if i actually plug the coil to dissy lead in .. but the great new is i have spark .. the fuel pump relay comes on and stays on when motyor crank and stops after a few seconds of no signal from oil pressure switch .. so all is working correctly there .. no injector pulse singnals on the test lamp so will start looking at why that is .. any clues will be help full
test mode is short adal pins ?
ooh i have a usb board connected so will tuner pro receive fault info ?
thanks D
