PCM Logger - Log Parameters???

Post by B52Bombardier1 »

Hello,

I'd like to start experimenting with PCM Logger but I don't know enough on how to add logging parameters. Does anybody have a loadable prebuilt parameter file that I can use to get started, please? Does such a thing exist in an editable, add-able form?

Many thanks,

Rick

For standard stuff it's just a matter of Selecting the Parameters Tab and selecting what you want, once you have what you want, Select the Profiles Page and Save your LogProfile ...

There are 3 examples with PCMLogger ...

You can load one of the examples by Selecting the Profiles tab ... Then select the Parameters Tab and modify it.

Obviously more complicated stuff requires hand editing the XML.

I personally like to create a Blank.LogProfile, used to clear the current parameters (to stop the polling) and a blank slate to start with ... It's just handy.

I've just started trying out PCMLogger (PCMHammer version 20), but none of the buttons under the Profiles tab work, no examples are shown, and nothing shows in Parameters. Do I need to be connected to a PCM for this to work? Or maybe more installation steps (I just extracted from the zip)? I've been using v15 (no Logger) before this. Thanks.

It needs to read the OS ID from a PCM before the UI will be enabled. This is not ideal, but not all parameters work for all PCMs.
