Lean idle when going to closed loop fueling

Post by Nesr »

I've recently done a L67 Top Swap and am using the l36 ecu. I'm having an issue when going into closed loop fueling at idle my afr wideband reads roughly around 15.7. I don't reckon its the afr gauge as when I first start the car its in open loop n ramps up to 14.7 and stays there into i go for a drive and get back and its going crazy from 14.7 to 16 but mainly stays around 15.7. Anyone got any idea what it might be?

That isn't lean.
Leaner the better for idle.

Wouldn't the idle afr for closed loop still be 14.7? also my o2 sensors go crazy from 200 to 900 etc. Its also not just at idle when driving around it sits around 15.7 as well. Closed loop afr in the bin is set to 14.76 as well so im confused

When in closed loop the NB O2 sensors will swing from rich to lean, they are supposed to do that.

Are you sure your WB O2 sensor is reading accurately?

What model is it? Vs,vt vx,vy? It’ll help if you share some more details or even post the bin you’re using. It’s probably just your norrow bands or some of the earlier tunes do actually command pretty lean compared to the later ones

From the Quick Look I’ve had there’s a few things that don’t look right. Not sure if your running the l67 injectors but the injector data ain’t correct either if so
