Hey
I'm currently in the market for another turbo for my 304 v8 that comes underload at lower rpm but doesn't restrict hp too much.
The one I purchased was off ebay and doesn't come into boost until dangerously high rpm which has caused me some internal issues. The turbo was a t4 with an a/r of 1.05 on the outlet.
I've been told a t3 is too restrictive but a smaller ball bearing turbo would come into boost alot earlier?
Any recommendations appreciated.
Thanks Alex.

Get a genuine garret gt3540. Can get cheap as lot of ford guys usually upgradeand take them of their ba bf falcons
Had one on a stock 5l pulled strong all round.
Is enough turbo there to make 500hp at the engine on a 5l

MatchBot is really good and gives you an idea. Best part is you can play around with multiple things and get an idea on how it’ll effect things
