I created these 2 patches in the XDF for boost OS 5V and above running OS 12587603. I had some issues with things or was feeling lazy during a couple LS swaps into non conventional vehicles.
Patch 1=Disable clutch switch checks for launch control. This allowing you to activate launch control without a clutch switch wired to the PCM. You rely on the roll out VSS speed and the TPS position to disable launch control so this essentially removes 1 safety layer in a sense but cuts a corner when wiring a swap. i normally set VSS speed around 2MPH and TPS percent to 90% so if your sitting still and you floor the throttle LC will activate but as soon as your VSS registers movement the LC function is disabled till you go below the roll out speed again. This does not affect the flat shift clutch switch spark cut code either but that wont work for ya anyway if you dont have a clutch switch wired in so if you only want launch control than this will work.
Patch 2=This patch allows you to manually set the coil dwell time during spark cut events like launch control, flat shift, hard spark cut RPM limiter, boost spark limiter etc. This is a more simple and efficient way than messing with actual ignition angle to adjust the spark cut to make it more harsh or soft depending on your preference. Once the patch is applied the constant value for the dwell time will be 0.0ms by default. I normally run around 0.15ms for my vehicles. you can go as high as around 0.3ms depending on what coils your running.
0.0ms = ALL THE FIRE AND VIOLENCE!!!! This was the normal default in boost OS.
0.3ms = Grandma's walking farts lol. the cut is not as harsh and violent but can still be effective.
Hope no one gets mad i did this but these abilities most definitely needed to be in there. Thanks to turbo V6 for taking my original post about spark cut and me manipulating coil dwell time with HPtuners years ago to prove that setting low dwell at a low RPM was the way to make a real spark cut and creating it into fully functional code.
This XDF is not locked so do with it what you want. copy the variables into your own XDF, port them to universal patcher or whatever tickles your fancy. your 12587603 BIN must already be patched with boostOS V5 or higher for these to work. these do not go around turbo V6's work to give it away for free, these only enhance what he created further.
