VF Commodore Fan Controller

Post by Madchuska »

Hi all,

Does anyone know the control logic of the fan module in a VF commodore?

I've managed to find the pinout but am finding some conflicting info re
Hz it runs at have read 100hz, 128hz and much higher.
also whether its 5v or 12v PWM.

Its going in a project and I don't have access to a VF to test unfortunately.

Cheers will give it a go.

Interesting reading the vf docs they mention 5v 128hz for alternator control but for the fans they don’t mention anything other than the fact it’s pwm.

since it's using the same output pin on the ecu that uses 12v on for simple on/off control. It'll still be a 12v pwm signal.
