Hey guys, so i have a customos tuned bin file i pulled from a ABU-212 BA BTR ecu, it already has PATS disabled ect ect, ive flashed it onto another ABU-212 ecu aswell and it worked fine, i then tried another couple and it didnt work. ive also tried flashing it onto a couple BA BTR ABU-242 ecus and also had no luck. now im wondering if anyone would be able to convert the bin file i have to ABU-242 if thats even possible, ive successfully crossflashed a abu-242 tune onto abu-212 fine but the other way around has never worked. more than happy to pay someone if theyre able to get it working for me
also any ideas why it will only flash onto a abu-212 ecu rarely? im guessing its because theyre temperamental ecus

While the computers are technically the same family (ABU-2xx), there is something different with the physical hardware which is why the code does run on both computers. I'd say you'd probably have to update the physical hardware to support whatever feature is being used in the one strategy vs the other, or find out what flags are flipped to disable those features.
I'd say collect a bunch of bins for each hwid type that are the same strategy and compare them in bindiff. Find the common items that are 00 vs 01 across them and that might work as a way to convert the file.
If you can access the same tables and such in a strategy that's intended for the correct hardware, should be able to more or less just port the values over and be good, if you're unsure what has been changed, you could bindiff the stock file vs tuned.
This is applying EEC-V logic, not sure if other generations of the computers apply in the same way.

Don't forget CustomOS is also proprietary to PCMtec
