VX & VY Bins

Post by VX L67 Getrag »

Howdy all!

I've done a bit of checking today on the VY bins in particular & in the stock holden bins file it's lock so couldn't add any attached below so can be moved! But with my looking it seems weird most VY bin's I get from cars come up as DTCF but the 1 today said it was that type but it's different from around 4000 on for 4,652 byte's!

Also you may want to pull the VYPCMBIN as it is just the dtcf you have listed there, but it doesn't have the ram area cleared :shh:

Is there any difference when zero'ing ram area or doing it with the F's as the flash tool does?

anyway as I'm no expert I could be completely wrong but the flash tool 1.31 is working well & here's a few different bin's

Edit: Bins moved to bin thread here: https://pcmhacking.net/forums/view ... p=278#p278

Which ones that - your 'DTCF-04-2003 S pack VY Manual.bin' ? Might flag is as different if it is.

Which file is that? I had a look but got no exact matches on the filename. can you post a direct link?

Not really any practical difference. I guess Vl400 just used FFs because thats what empty eproms and flash contain, then they blow fuses/clear bits to write the 0s in.

Thanks for all the answers, I dont know how to link! but i've copy & pasted below the very top bin is exact the same as the very bottom bin but it just hasn't had 0000 to 2000 cleared! & I'm not sure what you mean as flag as different but in flash tool it says it's dtcf(but there is differences from 4000 area?) & yeah thats the 1 i was talking about comparing to other dtcf as already on the stock bins list!

Unfortunately it doesn't recognize any of them!

Another thing if you can add it to the program is remember last window you opened the bin file from?

But looks good!

Antus ID tool doesn't include vx/vy IDing yet i think.

Ill put the tab thing on the list, for the moment ive updated it so you can use the function keys for a tab if that helps, eg F5 for VRV6

It wont work in a VT and at the moment you cannot realtime tune a flash PCM for free. The VT PCM can be RT tuned using the bins here ... https://pcmhacking.net/forums/view ... f=27&t=613

Thanks i tried the nvram setup in the vt before and had connection issues .
But i believe that may have been a tunerpro issue from what i have read since.
I did leave it in for a while and drove around and one day it just died as i was going around a roundabout so i pulled it out never looked into it to see what happened.
