Re: 265 Hemi to efi
I checked several of my old log files to see what mine was detected as, when Tunerpro is first opened and the logfile selected, is also detected as an 8 cyl. Once it play the logfile, it switches to detected as a 6 cyl and selected as a 6 cyl. When i close the file and open any other logfile it show...

Re: 265 Hemi to efi
This is some what grasping at straws, have you checked that the outer ring on the Harmonic Balancer hasn't spun.
When at TDC the Key way on the Harmonic Balancer should be vertical/12 o'clock.

Re: 265 Hemi to efi
I too do not believe that your bin file is corrupt, i compared it against one of mine and all the parameters were present, though the values varied. One thing i though may be on the low side was "SCALAR: Map A: Run A/F Param - Displacement/inj flow rate (Litres/Grams per sec) 0.05 Grams/Sec&quo...

If your starting to check the Bin file, check that:
EST params - Spark Reference Angle is at 10 degree

Re: Converting 202 to DIS
Have you tried the old school method, open the throttle width open and a couple of caps full of petrol into the throttle body, then crank it at half throttle to see if it fires? In your previous post i believe the relationship between TDC and the pickup is correct (even if it's off by 5deg). The TDC...

Re: Converting 202 to DIS
If you have the ALDL connector in your wiring loom, then link A to B and that will set the ignition to 10deg btdc. If you no longer have the ALDL connector, then earth pin A9 on the ECM. Is the "Spark Reference Angel" set to 60deg? When i first went to start my engine it would not start, t...

Re: Converting 202 to DIS
Are any of the other gauges working on the dash in Tunerpro, mainly the MAP and Injector Duty Cycle while your cranking the engine? I was testing the ignition on my car (no fuel pump relay) and you should get a output similar to this. 265efi-cold start no fuel.jpg If you are seeing the MAP and Injec...

Re: Converting 202 to DIS
When you machine the slots longer have it so the White lines in the picture align and the engine at TDC, this will give 10deg advance when in diag mode.
The desired result when the engine is at TDC.

Re: Converting 202 to DIS
nj gtr202, disregard the TDC that is on the trigger wheel it is confusing the issue. When the engine is at TDC the rising edge of the "0" notch should align with the center line of the Crank Sensor. I would suggest that you undo the trigger wheel and rotate it anti-clockwise until the &quo...

Re: Converting 202 to DIS
My main question is regarding the pickup position relative to tdc. Photo is taken with the motor at tdc. Does this look right? No it does not look right, the Notch to the right of the Sync Notch, at TDC should align with the sensor. When the engine is rotated a further 10deg the sensor should align...
