Re: 12p fuel vs coolant
Could be anything without a wideband to see what's up. The only time I had flooding when cold is when I had large injectors and the min BPW value was larger than the cranking table values, so it always flooded at starting or soon after when cold. Also had a minor issue like this due to the target AF...

Re: Ecotec V6 Dry sump
Do you think the pump will be safe there?
Is the engine all rebuilt? Any updates on that side of things? Looks pretty good so far.

Re: Starting from scratch
I always started from scratch unless I have a combo that is the same or very close to use as a base to fine tune from.

Re: Holden 355 compression on NZ fuel
Pretty much depends on the cam specs. The bigger the duration and the tighter the LSA, the more comp you need. I know it's not a 355, but I run 10-ish on my V6 with a very mild cam, but my LSA is about 109. It's on 98 petrol, and I know it's not knock limited at all as I had wayy too much timing ini...

Re: Tinkers Rides rb30 to delco
Well all straight 6 have the pistons pairs like that, but the firing order is based on the cam pretty much because you can have even firing and balance with the same crank in two patterns from memory, basically the power and exhaust/ intake and compression pairs are swapped on the cam, crank remains...

Re: GQ USB Programmer Software failure?
These are for the plain GQ-4X and GQ-3X, not the newer GQ-4x4 and 5x5 models. So the newest program and drivers date to 2015, but they work fine on all my computers, even the win 11 laptop.

Re: GQ USB Programmer Software failure?
Just tried mine. I used the 6.38v win 7 x64 program and the modded 2.01 usb driver for win10 signed. All works perfect on my laptop.

Re: GQ USB Programmer Software failure?
Maybe it's missing a windows component like .net framework or something like that. MS do tend to drop older version altogether without warning and some programs, especially older ones just stop working. I literally was going to install the same USB prog on my win 11 laptop soon, I can give it a shot...

Didn't know a module like that existed, handy to know!
