Re: engine change computer question
Eprom writers (programmers) are pretty cheap, you can pick one up for about $30 on ebay.

Re: another Alfa Romeo conversion
Well my injectors never arrived. After 3 weeks of excuses from the ebay seller as to why he hasn't posted them yet, I think I'd better look for another set. Today I stripped the ecu, loom, tb and a few sensors out of an N13 Pulsar. I opened up the distributor to get the module out, but somehow got s...

Re: another Alfa Romeo conversion
After having a decent read of the group 5 regs, I've given up on that idea - so making it all original looking isn't a priority at the moment. I've got a set of ecotec injectors on the way, so will knock up a fuel rail to suit once they arrive - unless anyone can tell me the dimensions for the fuel ...

Re: another Alfa Romeo conversion
Yeah, I suppose I could hide the IAC away under the manifold out of sight, hadn't thought about retrofitting it.
But if I can do without it, I probably will.

Re: another Alfa Romeo conversion
Will the ECU be upset by not having IAC connected? The spider manifold has a Solex tb which I've already swapped the WOT switch with a TPS, but there's no provision for idle control. I've got a VR tb that I could adapt easy enough, but I really want to make this thing look as oem as possible - to th...

Re: another Alfa Romeo conversion
Welcome and nice project  Thanks for the welcome. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute something back once I get up to speed with it all. I spent a week looking for a cheap 808 online, and ended up getting an 082 with a BLCD memcal for $25 8-) Bargain of the year with that one  Yeah...

another Alfa Romeo conversion
Hi all, I first started thinking about converting my '77 GTV to EFI about 10 years ago. It was originally bought as a parts car to keep my other GTV on the road, but somehow ended up as a track car :shh: Back then, I looked at the 808 as a possible candidate that fitted my non-existent budget, but n...
