Ok found a few different factors different alot to do with the IAC and cold idle fingers crossed thats the difference. There are alot of tables and scalar values that are not documented on the $12 xdf but appear in $12P beside the addon features, there are also some mutliplier that seem to be calcutated differently in the xdf file these i have left as the "default" values found in $12P BLCD cal. Hope to dump the program into the NVRAM this afternoon and give it a Test if there are still issues I'm going to need a hand working out what these multipliers and tables should be.
Cheers

Nice work, can def help out if needed for calcs and getting it to run like it should - just needed someone with a car to test it on, looks like you have that job now

Re: $12P BLCD V6
Hi
Well it's better but still seems doughy compared the the factory bin. The idle is alot smoother
I've attached a log i did this morning haven't viewed the log yet to see how it went, plan to do that when i get home this afternoon.

Re: $12P BLCD V6
bit of knock in there and the blms could use a tweak but generally looks to be working ok.
lean cruise works too
one suggestion, if you are trying to tune VE's i'd suggest disabling lean cruise cause you'll get more blm hits then.
or if you have nvram turn on ve learn

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: $12P BLCD V6
yeah I know there is knock in there i felt the power drop off. as for the BLM not sure how much they require tweating at this stage still have to sus out if the O2 sensor is working correctly. When i get around to it I'll wire the wideband sensor in for some good tuning time and to compare sensors.
The main idea at this stage is to get it as close a factory as possible before i start playing. Being the first actually EFI car I'll be tuning I just want to have a good soild starting point.
Think of this play car before i bit the bullet on the EFI conversion of the celica which will be very interesting.

yeah i wasn't 100% sure on the o2 sensor in the logs, it was swinging but not heaps, but also it was partly to do with acceleration etc too ....
the blms was only 1-5% so nothing huge but worth thinking about either way.
i reckon your wideband install is a good idea, then you know where you stand.

Re: $12P BLCD V6
Ok I've got a newbee question on the spark curve.
How is the adavance actualy caluated just looking at the log i've most up and the spark advance curve looks to be to alot higher then set in the EST table. Just i think this is the reason behind the knocking problem.

Re: $12P BLCD V6
I think i just worked it out the EST main table plus EST coolant temp table.
With reqard to the log do you guy normally see spark advance this high? Just i know the celica ping it's head off with more the 35 degrees total there I'm see up to 60 degrees on the current tune

Re: $12P BLCD V6
Ok just been doing some further comparing and notice then the formula for the "EST - Coolant Advance vs MAP and Temp (Coolant Advance Bias Term Is Subtracted)" is caluated differently in $12P to $12 xdf file is the program behind these table different too?
$12P = (0.351563 * X)-Y
$12 = 0.351563 * X + 0.000000
$12P = (0.351563 * X)-Y
$12 = 0.351563 * X + 0.000000

Re: $12P BLCD V6
There should be a bias value in the $12 XDF, its the same calc as 12P so can copy it. In the 12P XDF the conversion includes a linked item - its a scalar item called 'EST params - Coolant Advance Table Bias Term' - so just setup the $12 XDF the same way.
At the end of all this might have a better $12 XDF too
