I took the entire loom and steering column out of the 6 and put it in the v8 the 6 cylinder was a running engine :think:

so it's a v8 with a 6 loom and column .

Well I'm sure there is no purple wire to the starter (you mean the push on wire to flat starter connector?), I will double check take some photo's also will see where purple wire goes to and if no go will just run a wire. this should help a lot of people down the track :thumbup:

it turns out the purple wire is connected to the spade connector on the starter! I was wrong :silent: it was purple, so hooked up test light and turned key to start and it has power!!!! :wtf:
