I took the entire loom and steering column out of the 6 and put it in the v8 the 6 cylinder was a running enginevs ss wrote:Well I’m just thinking that because someone has joined the starter wires from the doner harness, the v8 one will now not be connected to anything as they have cut the wires out of the original plug. I’m trying to make sense here.
so it's a v8 with a 6 loom and column .
Will sus out where the purple wire goes be back soonvs ss wrote:In all honesty I think the best way is to try and chase that purple wire at the joint on the firewall onto the engine or bay and see if it goes there or has damage somewhere. Cause it can’t be anything major as the wire is only meant to go 3/4 of a meter if that. So it can only now be in that area.

Well I'm sure there is no purple wire to the starter (you mean the push on wire to flat starter connector?), I will double check take some photo's also will see where purple wire goes to and if no go will just run a wire. this should help a lot of people down the track
